Akpabio is hale and hearty Post Picture

The Office of the Senate President has noted the circulation of unverified online reports concerning the health of Senate President Godswill Akpabio. These claims, which have appeared on select digital platforms, are inaccurate and do not reflect the true state of affairs.

In response to media enquiries, Mr. Kenny Okolugbo, Consultant on Communications and Strategy to the Senate President, clarified that the reports suggesting any form of collapse or hospitalisation abroad are false and without factual basis. He described the information being circulated as misinformation and urged the public to rely on credible and official sources for updates concerning public office holders.

Focus Remains on Legislative Responsibilities

Despite the emergence of these unfounded narratives, Senate President Akpabio continues to actively discharge his constitutional responsibilities as the leader of the 10th Senate. His schedule remains uninterrupted, with ongoing legislative engagements, consultations, and oversight activities reflecting a sustained commitment to national governance and institutional stability.

The Senate President remains fully engaged in advancing key legislative priorities, strengthening democratic processes, and supporting reforms aimed at national development and cohesion.

Commitment to Responsible Communication

The Office of the Senate President reiterates its commitment to transparency, accuracy, and responsible public communication. At a time when misinformation can spread rapidly, members of the public and media practitioners are encouraged to verify information through official channels before sharing or amplifying claims that may mislead or distract from the work of governance.

As the Senate continues its work on behalf of the Nigerian people, the focus remains firmly on service, accountability, and delivering outcomes that strengthen public trust in democratic institutions.
