Nigeria at 65: A Call to Unity, Resilience, and Renewed Hope

As Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, I extend my warmest congratulations to the resilient and wonderful people of our great nation. This milestone is not only a celebration of our past struggles and victories but also a call to action for the unity, prosperity, and progress of our beloved country.

At 65, Nigeria has come of age. We are matured as a nation and must work together to strengthen the bonds of unity while striving toward the prosperity of all citizens. The resilience, patience, and endurance you have shown over the past years remain a beacon of hope and an assurance that, together, we can overcome any challenge.

This year’s theme, “All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nigeria,” could not be more fitting. I urge every Nigerian—at home and in the diaspora—to remain steadfast and committed to the vision of a better nation. Yes, we recognize the temporary discomfort that comes with the ongoing reforms, but these sacrifices are not in vain. The benefits of these bold changes are already beginning to take shape, and in no distant time, they will yield positive results for us all.

I also take this moment to congratulate our President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his unwavering commitment to peace, security, and development. I salute my colleagues in the National Assembly for their steadfastness in discharging their constitutional duties, the Judiciary for their diligence, and above all, the Nigerian people—whose enduring spirit continues to drive our progress.

To those who claim Nigeria is irredeemable, I say this with conviction: Nigeria is not finished. Our nation is on the right path, and under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu’s administration, we are reshaping our future. We are growing. We are advancing. And we are moving closer to the promise of greatness.

If we join hands together and remain committed to these reforms, Nigeria will not only become better—it will take its rightful place among the greatest nations of the world.

On behalf of my family, my constituents, the 10th Senate, and the entire National Assembly, I wish every Nigerian a peaceful, joyous, and hopeful Independence celebration. May God bless Nigeria.
